The sudden attack of the Shasvastii, had sent Arathon and his warriors off course, just as they had arrived on the asteroid. The valiant Rasail had tried to arrange the counteroffensive as best he could, but the speed of the enemy combined with the particular conformation of that strange world had ruined his plans. For this reason they had been forced to find refuge within a series of intricate and narrow tunnels. The explorers of the group had reported that for the inhabitants of the asteroid those places were considered very dangerous and yet still retained a certain aura of charm and mystery. The only hope of reaching Elàlith's group, already engaged in battle in another area with a high concentration of Tohaa armies, was to pass through those cramped environments, isolated from any kind of communication with the outside.
After a few days of walking, Arathon and his men arrived at a sort of underground square, in which some small buildings were abandoned and there were ruins with some watchtowers. The silence of those places had weighed down their hearts and the soul of the troops was dark. Suddenly, they noticed a movement on a small cross-shaped platform. From a distance he looked like a human, who gestured with a few shouts in a language that was not easily understood at the time. Some of the present Tohaa believed that even that man was lost in those dungeons and perhaps he needed help. Perhaps he would have useful information and together they could have gotten out of there. It was when a huge Seraph emerged from behind the tallest building and began to fire that they realized that it was an ambush. Perhaps a misunderstanding. In any case, they had to fight for survival.

PanO deployment

On the right side of the human field, a Tikbalang with the Tech-Bee and an Order Sergeant armed with Heavy Rocket Launcher were positioned behind a container; on the nearby cross-shaped platform a Sierra Dronbot was deployed and behind it a Monstrucker with SMG. A Warcor was hidden under the platform. Further to the left, next to a fallen stairway, was the Seraph and next to it a Palbot. Further to the left, next to the staircase stood a Fugazi Dronbot. On the extreme left of the fiel, Jeanne d’Arc personally commanded the Humans and next to her was hidden a warrior in Camo Marker.

Tohaa deployment

On the left side of the field two Gao-Rael snipers were deployed on a platform, in Triad with a Kaeltar placed on the nearby building. Next to the Kaeltar the Kumotail was hidden, prone. At the center of the field was Arathon and its Chaksa Peripheral, both behind two containers. Nearby, a Triad was deployed consisting of a Sukeul with K1 combi rifle and two Makaul with Heavy Flamethrower. Next to them was a Chaksa Servant and another was lying prone behind the snipers. Further on, on the right side were respectively a Krakot Renegade (SMG) behind a container and an Igao at the foot of a stairway, next to one of the Panoplies. A Clipso Minelayer was hidden near the Panoply on the left side of the field.
The Krakot gets 20 on the Metachemistry lv 2 table, obtaining +3 PH and Regeneration.

PanO turn 1

The Tikbalang protrudes from the left side of the Humans, appearing behind a ruined building, so as to see only the outermost Gao-Rael.
He shoots him with the HMG but the sniper's reply frustrates the attack [9 the highest result for both].

The TAG continues to attack until it sends the sniper to the unconscious state [with two 15, double critical hit!], negating his Symbiomate.

Now the Seraph advances towards midfield and engages in battle at a distance with the Rasail.
Arathon is at the height of his fame and with his Viral Combi Rifle he keeps up with the enemy HMG [the highest roll for both is 9 during the first attack. Nothing happens!]

Subsequently, the clash continues furiously and in the end the Seraph gets to do a Rasail wound, but he suffers two. At this point, he retires on the cross-shape platform, so as to be close to the Engineer for the necessary repairs.

At the same time, the Order Sergeant peeks out from behind the ruined building, hammering the platform where are the surviving Gao-Rael and the Chaksa with the Heavy Rocket Launcher. The sniper rifle shoots fail to overcome the enemy flames that send them “unconscious”.

The Tikbalang resumes the attack, beginning to climb the ruined building.

From a favorable position at the top he manages to kill the Kumotail.

The Tech-Bee meanwhile has advanced towards one of the Panoplies and she triggers the mine positioned by the Clipso, however she survives and succeeds in gaining an additional weapon.

Tohaa turn 1

After heavy losses, the Tohaa must decide how to counterattack. The most important loss is the death of the Kumotail for which the fainted Gao-Rael cannot be cured. It was therefore decided to advance the Krakot to the Panolia on the right side. Thanks to +3 PH he manages to dodge some shots fired from the Tikbalang at a distance, but during the last action falls "unconsious" to the ground. It tries to heal itself with regeneration. He succeeds, but the Tikbalang's ARO kills him.
A Gao-Tarsos armed with Boarding Shotgun appears on the side of the ruined building. The warrior survives the ARO of Sergeant and manages to kill him.
Meanwhile, Clipso Minelayer advances in TO: Camo, prone, towards the left Panoplia and manages to improve its armor (+4 ARM). However, the Tikbalang's ARO will still be able to kill her.
On the right side, the Igao gets a Panzerfaust from the Panoplia, but equally before the end of the round it will die because of the lucky blows of the enemy.

PanO turn 2

The Seraph resumes the advance...
and climbing over a ramp in the half alien field, manages to see the Sukeul ...and cause her a wound.
The TAG advances and engages in battle with the Triad, having the upper hand.
Finally he manages to kill also the Rasail and approach the Tohaa's AC2. Fortunately, the structure resists the attacks of the robot and only after many explosive blows it is destroyed. The Tohaa have now lost the Lieutenant and the command has passed to the Kaeltar. However, this one is also hit by shots fired from the Tikbalang that climbs the ruined building higher and higher, so you can see almost the whole field!

Tohaa turn 2

At this point the two remaining Makaul can do little or nothing. They try to save at least the fallen commander [ed. To complete the secret mission, that is "Rescue"]. To do this they launch the Eclipse Grenades and then they will act. However, even in this case the ARO shots of the two TAGs manage to win, killing the last two survivors.

-------------------------------------
When the fumes of the battle had cleared, the Humans and their robots had disappeared and had brought with them the hopes of this handful of alien heroes to rejoin their fellow compains. Not far from the battlefield, a huge stone Buddha watched over the area. However, he would not have been the only silent witness of what happened. Not far from it, in fact, a Chacksa Peripheral and a Servant, both disconnected, would have been a perennial memory of the battle.
-------------------------------------

The game ends 8-1 for the Humans.

Epilogue

When the dice rolls are not favorable you have two options: to run away or fight to the death…... then go and enjoy good ethnic cuisine!
