Somewhere in the Pakngein Nbis Traffic Control…
Task Force Liwan, reporting.
The TF has been assigned to Pakngein Nbis security (see attached order-of-battle). We have been charged with a complicated task including:
1. Securing the civillian personnel in the area of operations.
2. Providing medical assistance to said civillian perosnnel in AO.
3. Providing detialed ELINT data on any opposing force.
4. Taking specimens of enemy force for laboratory analysis.
5. Taking a covert data-scan of an enemy unit.
TF Liwan, having reached AO, has found a lone and apparently lost PanO Fusilier, one Angus, taking cover among the facilities. Using commanding officer's authority, it was possible to commandeer this individual, citing emergency proecedures, and press him into service as a part of the 2nd squad. While not really a competent soldier, he provided at the very least another pair of eyes to watch out.
TF deployed a mixed Ghulam / Khawarij fireteam on the shallow left flank, making use of available cover.
A Rafiq FTO REM, accompanied by Husam Sharif, was deployed on the right flank (as Fireteam Duo).
Murabid sergeant Alawi took position on second condignation of the central building.
We have also placed the Shihab REM, overseeing a good portion of the battlefield from an elevated position in the center.
Nahab corporal al-Balawi was retained for aerial insertion as a rapid intervention factor.
OOC note: orange rings mark Combat Group #2 models.
Nomad Zond REMs proxy for additonal Fanous REMs.
Order tokens are placed next to the model spending them, when they are being spent.
We have been opposed by an Onyx Contact Force raiding party, with a heavily-armed Unidron fireteam on the left flank, covering the approach to the warehouse with plasma sniper fire, and backed up by a Slave Drone, plus an Ikadron in the warehouse's door.
Enemy right flank included an Umbra, a Nexus, another Ikadron, Obsidion Medchanoid and a Q-Drone more towards the center.
TF has seized the initiative, and despite suffering cooridnation problems, deployed offensively. Considering the Q-Drone to be the main blocking force, the fireteam advanced towards the central building, where Khawarij sergeant Chakroun swiftly dispatched of the REM with a single burst of his Spitfire.
However, for further advance, it was necessary to neutralize the Ikadron in the warehouse. Therefore, cpl Badawi was called in to perform an Airborne Deployment on the deep left flank. She managed to land without issue and proceeded to the warehouse's rear door, shooting an Unidron in the process. She then moved toward the Ikadron and engaged it in hand to hand combat, having shrugged off enemy hackers' attempt to retaliate. However, she utterly failed in her attempt to take the drone down, and was affected by its shock plating.
A note shall be made in cpl. Badawi's files that a refresher course in hand-to-hand combat techniques will be necessary after resleeving.
While unsuccessful, cpl Badawi's attack managed to completely take the Ikadron's attention, allowing the fireteam to advance. Sgt Chakroun made an attempt to neutralize the other Ikadron, visible in the building on our right flank, but was effectively blinded by the remote's flashpulse. Same happened to Ghulam private first class Dandachi.
The fireteam pressed the attack, however, with Khawarij corporal al-Enezi taking position in the building's door and opening fire on the Unidron Sniper with a HRL. He scored a hit, and the result was two heavily armed Unidrons (Plasma Sniper operator and Missile Launcher gunner) being burned beyond repair.
The enemy responded landing a Yuan Yuan (and a big one!) deep on the left flank, in his own deployment zone. This was a surprise - Yuan Yuan are known to accept any contract, but siding with Onyx wasn't something we've expected! However, the pirate made little progress.
The Obsidion Medchanoid made use of the Slave Drone, reparing the one damaged Unidron, and reforming the Fireteam.
Ikadron in the warehouse made several attempts to take down cpl Badawi, but - Allah be praised - unsuccessfully.
The other Ikadron however made it almost to the building occupied by our fireteam, and used its twin flamethrower to devastating effect. Cpl. al-Enezi was wounded, and Ghulam private Faheem killed, before sgt Alawi was able to hack the drone and immobilise it.
Sgt Chakroun made another attempt to take the Ikadron down, but managed only to damage it. At the same time sgt Alawi attempted to data-scan it, which eventually succeeded. It was, however, advised against to risk the (reformed) fireteam advancing in front of the still-functioning unidron's flamethrower.
Cpl Badawi - after a heavy fight - was finally able to damage the Ikadron in the warehouse to the point where it finally should stop functioning...
In the meantime, Husam Sharif and her Rafiq REM took positions in the right-flank building, covering the advance.
The Yuan Yuan started moving toward cpl Badawi, but due to poor cooridnation with its Onyx allies, wasn't able to get there in time.
A Fractaa landed on the left edge of the AO, and attempted to make progress towards our postions, but was quickly neutralized by the Shihab.
On our right flank, however, situation turned quite dangerous. An Umbra, using IFF masking software, managed to advance forward, destroy the Rafiq REM in hand-to-hand combat, and withstand the retaliation form all three Haqq hackers present, to perform a Net-Undermine operation.
In the final phase of the fight, cpl Badawi placed a Net-Undermine virus in the enemy datasphere and headed to face the Yuan Yuan, on her way disposing of a Shasvasti Malignos, who decloaked next to a cargo hovercraft parked in front of the hangar. Yuan Yuan was quick to accept the challenge, and just as quick to die. Cpl Badawi pressed her attack, and managed to damage two more Unidrons and the Slave drone with a nanopulser discharge before falling.
The fireteam in the center pressed towards the civillian, with Sgt Chakroun neutralising the Obsidion and Nexus Hacker. The team's medical specialist, Ghulam corporal Gamil, provided the civillian with appropriate medical attention.
Husam Sharif managed to perform a succesful software attack, killing the Umbra.
This reduced the opposing force to a single Unidron, which attempted to withdraw - but was destroyed after short pursuit.
Losses:
- cpl Badawi: KIA, scheduled for resleeving.
- private Faheem: KIA, scheduled for resleeving.
- cpl al-Enezi: WIA. First aid administered once the area was secured, but he'll need proper burns treatment.
- one Rafiq REM: total loss, no recovery possible. Put a supply request for a new one.
End report.
Actually, after the game it turned out we have completely missplayed the Ikadron’s Electric Pulse effects. Also, the thing was able to shrug off Viral CCW hits like water off a duck’s back…
Świetna robota. Go Haqq!
Congrats on the win. That’s one sweet Ramah Task Force scheme you have.
Really nicely written report and pictures! Congratulations on your victory!
Corporal Badawi? More like Corporal Badassi am-I-right?
If the YuanYuan are siding with the enemy, we really have a problem. Time for Space Pirate Moral evaluation.
Congratulations on your Victory.
Great work, Errhile!
Good job and a nice report! Your opponent seemed to make a good race after your first turn.
good view of the battle and armies

Well fought! This looked like a particularly bloody game. Your Nahab could also use…umm…more training.
Congrats on the win! Well played!
Good job! Highly classified is always a favourite of mine
