Video: How Haqqislam and Aleph forces said goodbye after the battle.

Lieutenant Rashida Ghali peeked her over the barricade to steal a glance at the towering Marut in the distance. She ducked low as its strangely beautiful head swept in her direction.
“OK, simple mission this time. High Command wants us to kill that Marut. All other objectives are rescinded. Apparently the pilot of that Maghariba has an aunt in HHC who called in a favour.”

I learned my lesson since the last time, that lesson being that if Shamash is going first and he has a Marut I need to deploy second and lay low. As such, Shamash had free reign to run around and score points. He moved his Marut up out of cover and traded shots with my Khawarij, taking a crit for itself but also doing damage to my fireteam.
On my turn, my spitfire Khawarij absolutely destroyed the Marut with a crit (on a 1, no less – Fatality L2 FTW) and a series of regular hits. My rocket launcher Khawarij then moved up and delivered a long-shot blast to a Dakini, netting me more points. I secured a solid lead.
Shamash was in rough shape but he managed to end his final turn by tying things up – he ran and secured two objectives, and managed to get his Sophotect in to my deployment zone. On my final turn I could have broken the tie by annihilating his Sophotect with my spitfire Khawarij, but the Sophotect was in suppressive fire, I didn't trust my luck, and anyway we had to wrap things up so we could play Call of Cthulhu.
Crits are the best solution against a TAG !
Look at that beautiful baby!!!
It is a pleasure to see someone roll redicilous dice not against yourself! We have to make sure you become the Marut-slayer!
Always a delight to see a Marut go down; well done!
So just because it takes ages to put up a report while the server is under heavy load, you skip the cat pics?
Really like the custom classifieds. Keep up the good fight.
