After finishing our battle at the Spaceport, we moved to secure the Liberty Cargo Storage Area, we encountered an Ariadnan invasion. Rushing to set up, we took an aggressive position with our main Fireteam. This Fireteam consisted of two Order Sergeants with Heavy Rocket Launchers, a Father Knight Forward Observer serving both as Lieutenant and O12 Liaison, a Black Friar, and Konstantinos. The goal was to rush the center building and take the rooftop as our main fortress of defense. For support, we also had an infiltrated TOFO Order Sergeant as well as a TO Order Sergeant Sniper. A Seraph HMG positioned itself on the left flank with a Machinist, Palbot, and Fugazi nearby.
The enemy Ariadnan forces were many, but they deployed in bunched up areas. It became clear that the enemy was attempting to set up a guided strike using their Traktor Muls. There were many Forward Observers that were prepared to mark our forces for long range destruction.

Turn 1: MO
According to plan, I ordered the Fireteam to advance onto the roof of the centermost building. From this vantage point, they would be able to see much of the table. It also allowed us to move into the center zone early on, becoming a difficult rock to shift late game. Once the first Order Sergeant HRL got into sight of the first Grunt FO, the destruction began. The HRL rained down firey destruction from above. In the first volley, he took out two Grunt FOs, one being the enemy Liason. Next, he maneuvered slightly more forward to get a look at a Total Reaction Traktor Mul. Unfortunately for the Ariadnan bot, it was outranged and outgunned. Standing precariously next to it was a Katusha Traktor Mul, a Dozer, and Wardriver. Every single one of them burned to death in the inferno. All that was left was a blackened spot where the 4 units once stood. Next, the Order Sergeant put his sights on the enemy Devil Dog Team on the other corner of the battlefield. The Devil Dog survived with one wound, but the Antipode died in the explosion. Konstantinos saw an opportunity to take out a nearby camo marker and moved to discover it. The Ariadna Scout fired its Boarding Shotgun, but died in a hail of Assault Pistol fire. Konstantinos ducked back down as the two Order Sergeant HRLs took positions to defend. The Seraph used its Tactical Awareness to jump onto a nearby building and ended its turn in suppression.
Turn 1: Ariadna
The Devil Dog had fallen prone after the previous shots from the Order Sergeant. Not wanting to provoke more shots, it opted to forgo its Impetuous. It threw smoke for good measure, just in case the 112 Doctor wanted to move out. A Ratnik HRL moved to contest the first Order Sergeant HRL it could see. Despite good range, the Ratnik failed its shot and died in a heap of flames, failing 4 consecutive armor saves. Becoming more desperate, a Line Kazak peaked around cover to test the range of his rifle. Catching the HRL within 16 inches, he managed to take out the first Order Sergeant HRL, breaking the Link Team. Next, he set his sights on the second Order Sergeant HRL. Fearing he was in bad range, he opted for a flash pulse, but died to a rocket. A second Line Kazak took his place and fired on the Order Sergeant, rendering her unconscious.

Turn 2: MO
Seeing an opportunity to take out the Devil Dog for good, the TO Order Sergeant Sniper appeared out of camouflage to take a shot. Embarrassingly, he missed both shots and the Devil Dog successfully dodged. (He chose not to smoke dodge out of fear of MSV). Seeing this failure, the Seraph sprang into action. It leapt from building to building, finally jumping straight into the air to take out the Devil Dog from afar with its HMG. Bloodlust spurred the Seraph forward with reckless abandon. It leapt across the battlefield, firing its nanopulsers on the remaining Line Kazak, which miraculously survived. Ignoring the Line Kazak completely, it moved to confront the Veteran Kazak and nearby camo marker, hoping to catch the camo marker in a pair of nanopulsers. Shockingly, the Camo Marker revealed to actually be a Tank Hunter with AP rifle and Adhesive Launcher. The Seraph opted to fire its HMG in poor range to contest shots from the Veteran Kazak and Tank Hunter ADHL. The Seraph failed in all of its shots, but thankfully passed its check against the Adhesive ammo. Surprisingly, it was the lowly Line Kazak that managed to put the first wound on the Seraph. It was clear that the Seraph was in a losing battle in this particular situation. We needed to even the odds. The Black Friar saw an opening and fired upon the Tank Hunter from behind, but with poor range. Thankfully, the shots rang true and the Tank Hunter collapsed. The Seraph made a final move to retreat slightly, managing to put a single wound on the Veteran Kazak in the process.
Turn 2: Ariadna
Apparently, the Tank Hunter was the enemy Lieutenant. The Veteran Kazak moved up to the Seraph, hoping to finally take it down with his AP rifle. After a few attempts, the Veteran Kazak finally sent the Seraph into the unconscious state, while taking his own final wound from the Seraph’s nanopulser.
Turn 3: MO
With practically no resistance left from the Ariadnans, the Machinist and his palbot ran forward to assist the Seraph. The Palbot took a shot from the remaining Line Kazak as he ran, but the shot missed. Repairing the Seraph successfully, it was just a matter of killing the Line Kazak and moving into the proper zones at the end. At the end of the game, my surviving O12 Liason successfully secured the final point.
